Does anyone know the approx. average readings of the original pickups around '57, '62 and the current MIA Standard P, please?

Is 11,560 Ohms about right for an original '57, or a bit higher than you'd normally expect to find?

Is the average '62 pup higher and the current American Standard higher still?

In my opinion they should read close to 6 to 7 K ohms. fender does'nt make any single coils at 11 K

Your English is just fine!

I'm talking about the split pups, '57-type to date.

I'd just about put money on the fact that there were some 11k pickups in Fender Precision basses back in the 50,s and even in the sixties. I've played a 56 that was stinkin loud and a 64 that was too. They both had the sweetest tone you could imagine. The volume of those and the tone is similar to late 70's Dimarzio 123's. Or I should say I think early Dimarzios sound like those old PU's. The dimz I have are 11k. I've heard one set of Duncan Antiquities that had that tone and volume also. I've had alot of Antiquities and they don't all sound the same though. I guess we could discuss what I just wrote- alot.
