Fender offers their American Standard Strats in Sienna Sunburst. But I would like seeing the sienna burst finish on an American Standard bass as well, especially on a maple-neck Precision!

The CBS-owned Fender companies offered the sienna sunburst finish for the Precision and the Jazz in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Nice!

I've always fancied a trans cherry P-Bass (Fender Color Code 61). Years ago I had an SG that colour, and I loved it. There used to be a CS Strat in Bing Cherry Trans, and it was truly a thing of beauty 8)

I would love to have a P-bass like that. I would change out the PG for either a black or white pearl one, though.

In the early 80's, I had a 1978 Jazz with a Sienna finish. It looked, played and sounded great. Unfortunately, the drummer I was playing with at the time stole it.

It's a sienna sunburst Standard P-Bass (not mine) from the early 1980s.

I have a sienna sunburst P-bass with a rosewood neck, serial S912185, I purchased new in 1982 as a dishwasher. Was wondering if anyone had any information as to value.

Not to rain on anyones parade but a sienna burst does not look like that. Sienna burst doesn't have yellow or red in it. The sienna bursts (or what they called sienna) is kind of a brownish reddish with usually slightly tinted or clear in the middle. Maybe Bro Dave can clear that up. He knows. If I'm wrong I severely am sorry and will flog myself with a ruler.

I'm not too fond of sienna sunburst, it reminds me of ginger kids.

Here's a pic of the Sienna Sunburst Strat I found under the Products tab on this site.

American Standard Stratocaster®, Maple Fingerboard, Sienna Sunburst
Model : 0110402747

More like what stroker vance described, but close to chromeface's pic.
I'm not sure if it applies here, but my pics never seem to show the true color.

Yes- that pic shows the brownish red I was talking about--- I was thinking that as old as that other guitar is-- the colors may have faded and yellowed enough to make it look like a cherry sunburst. I bet that's why it looks like it does. The Burnt sienna color does have red in it and over time I think it would fade to a more red color and the tinted center- more yellow. I think it's "problem solved" for me anyway. :)
