Hi.
I just bought these Pbass pickups on ebay. They were listed as original Fender Alnico pickups but the seller did not know model or year. I have no reason to doubt that they are genuine and it doesnt really matter, but Im still curious. Does anyone know if they seem to be from a fender bass?
The reading is 11.2 K.

Thanks and best regards.
Karl

Its very hard to know for sure from a picture, if they came from the Fender Factory, but they appear to be the correct specifications for a vintage Precision bass pickup.

The pole pieces are beveled. The construction of the pickup appears to use an original spec. bobbin. The wire appears to be cloth insulation.

How does the pickup sound?

Hi.

Well I recieved my pickups and have tried them out. I like the sound of them alot. A big improvement compared to the stock pickups on the fender P-bass copy that I tried them out on.

Heres a couple of pics without the covers. It would have been nice to know the approximate age/model. Is there a way to tell this buy the looks of the bobbins etc.?
They are made of fibre and wax potted.

Happy new year :)
