Hi,
I have a mint 1992 Fender Precision Bass Plus (#19-7500), and I'm wondering how much I might be able to sell it for. It has barely been used (under 25 hours); Its been sitting in its hard case all these years. I'm a guitarist and bought the bass way back thinking I'd play it, but never got into it. It has an alder body, natural finish, pristine/new condition

Any ideas how much I can get for it?

I don't think the mods like such a topic. Don't sell it, anyhow. Those are sought after. Some consider those to be the best Precisions of them all...especially the 'Blueburst" ones with the maple fingerboard.

Maple neck Blueburst Pluses are by far the most coveted Precisions ever produced.

We found none of the pics you've posted. The IMG tags you've entered are empty.

Insert the URL address containing the JPEG media between the IMG tags.

Natural-finished Pluses were made out of solid ash.

I'm still trying to figuring out how to get images on here (for some reason haven't gotten it to work yet) but your pic looks similar (except my bass has a different & more distinct wood grain (and the hardware is silver, not gold)

Well, it's very simple, Flickr has recently made a couple of changes on their picture viewer, that's why you have a trouble to post the pictures. But I'll kindly do the job for yourself if you're so excited so much.

Regarding your question, the P-bass Plus on the pic I've posted is not mine. The gold hardware on this one appears to be non stock. Apparently the owner was not satisfied with the chrome hardware and decided to swap the original hardware components with gold-plated replacement parts.

Thanks for getting the pics on there!
I checked w/ Fender about the wood type. They said The P-bass Plus's they were making in 1992 were offered with an Alder body.

Fender always used ash on their natural-finished instruments. This is also the case for the Precision Bass Plus.

Check out the Wikipedia article about the "boner" P-Bass for more details or Klaus Blasquiz's best-selling book "The Fender Bass".

It's possible that Fender used a single piece of alder and applied ash veneers on it to give the overall aspect of a heavy piece of solid ash.
