I had one before I switched over to my 51RI. The AS pups are nice, but to me the vintage tint and the extra nice neck were worth the price alone. Plus, the Blizzard Pearl finish can really only be appreciated in person. There's a depth to it, that;s amazing. If you dig the over all look of it, and you like the way the AS P's sound then it's really a steal. To make it really a blow you out of the water instrument, a bridge upgrade to the threaded saddle Vintage Style Fender and a set of Fender 7150M's really bring out a killer sound from that model bass.

I think it's worth the extra $$$. Between the tinted neck, nice fret work, better sounding pickups (IMO), and the color it's a good deal.
And I agree with TheKingofPain, the Blizzard Pearl finish is much better looking than what you see on the 'net or in catalogs. I A/B'd mine for an hour with a Standard, and besides looking better it felt and sounded how I think a good P-Bass should. :)
