Hi everyone,

I'd be very grateful if I could get a some technical details regarding the above bass.

It's a real beauty cream and gold hardware and still sounds as mean today after almost 20 years of gigging as it ever did.

I know its a 1991 Japanese model but thats it really ( cos i bought it in 1991 and it says made in japan  ) but thats all I can find.

Guitar Info
Your guitar was made at the
Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan
in the Year(s): 1991 - 1992

Fuji String Instrument Production Corporation

Fuji String Instrument Production Corporation was opened in may 1960, they initially started manufacturing violins and quickly switched to classical guitar production. In 1962 electric guitar construction was started. Fujigen has a reputation for excellent quality and craftsmanship so the guitars they produce are highly regarded. They produce guitars via OEM for famous brands such as Ibanez, Epiphone, Yamaha and Fender (the import Special Interest Group nature model), G&L and others.

other info would be your bass have the gold hardware, active pickups, not sure of the material...but I used to "test" one in a local music store when I was in college...really nice but pricey bass back in the day.

They are nice basses those Lyte series basses. Post pics, I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see it. Good luck with looking for info. IIRC, If you find a post/reply/thread by BrotherDave, ck his sig, you can email him directly. He's one of the most knowledgeable guy here. We all bow down to the man when in comes to history and Fender History knowledge. The man is so full of info.

the original bridge was lovely and i still have it but prefer the responsive ness of this one as have it on my fretless and it plays real nice, also replaced standard black volume knobs with gold gretsch ones with red fake diamond inset

Looks exactly like the one I used to play in the music store, thanks for the pix (and the memories). I love the style of the bridge too, the tuning keys, nice bass nippidy!
