You may want to take off the pickguard a to make sure there is no water in the pickup/control cavities. The after the bass has had a couple of weeks to properly dry out, you may want to check the neck relief , to make sure it hasn't warped from the moisture.

If your bass got wet it will corrode all of the metal parts and the electronics,so I agree with Bathead that taking it apart to dry it out is a good idea.

Contact cleaner would be good for the pots (controls).

If there was a lot of water on the bass. i would worry about the neck and neck joint. So I rec. removing the neck to allow the neck and body to dry out.

Check for warping but I don't know what you can do if it's already wet. It has to dry out as quickly as possible or you are asking for trouble.

I also rec. fixing that trunk leak and not leaving your bass in the car anymore, but you probably don't need me to tell you that. LOL

Thanks for the tips guys! I was lucky, I got it before it got inside and the neck is fine! I played it last night at practice sounded great except for the strings! Playing Sat. night at Sally Tomatoes in Cotati, Ca. for Halloween Party! Rock On!
