Just got a new roadworn precision and it fits like a glove, intonation right on, action like i like it.The sound is great. It makes a great addition to my 2006 60th ann. standard prec. , those basses sound better than my U.S.A. models and the rickenbacker 4003.Very impressed!!!

I got one a year ago and love it. I bought in spite of the finish. One of the best necks of any make or model I've ever played. Perfect light weight. I swapped out the pickguard for a black one, and installed a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 vintage pickup and an Orange Drop cap. Greasy funky goodness.

Enjoy!

Hint: search for posts here by BrotherDave, he is the resident guru on all that is vintage P-Bass, if that's the vibe you're after.

i dig the SPB-1 especially with a maple necked P-bass.. it can go from blues to funk to rock...

think Steve Harris..

As lawdaddy mentioned its worth the price if only for the neck which was finished then had the finish buffed out.It could take 10 years of normal use to get a neck on a new bass to feel this good.Granted some players sand their own but y ou have to know how much to remove.

I wonder if they'll ever offer a non-reliced version finished in nitro like the Hwy 1 series. The relicing is very divisive with some people. A non-reliced version with a '62 CS pickup stock would just ooze mojo.

The P-Bass relicing isn't so bad, but the guitar versions are a little over the top, including wear patterns that just don't happen in real life. I did take some steel wool to the back of the neck to even things out a bit. After I replaced the pickguard on my RW P, from a distance you really can't tell that it's reliced.

Funny thing: in the band I'm in, I play guitar, and I loan the RW P to the bass player. He's been gigging it for several months with me, and loves it. I hope he gives it back ;)
