Still not a fender. :( Ha

I purchased a 98 squier affinity not too long ago and I decided I can really improve it. Now what was going to be a simple bridge and pup change, has now turned into a full refin, pup config change, neck change, and adding a Kahler tremolo.

Hardware: Fender pre-cbs reissue tuners, kahler tremolo, and fender issued jazz knobs, chrome pickguard.
Electronics: cheapest things I can find until I can afford better, I'm hoping for Delanoes or Barts later on.
Pup Config: I will have a jazz neck pup in the pbass position, and a pbass pup in the bridge position. I will be doing extra routing just if I change my mind: MusicMan humbucker in neck pos (where a mudbucker would go), mudbucker route overlapping the musicman route, I won't fill the precision route in the middle pos in case I wanna go back, and a jazz route route in the place where the pup would go if it were a jazz (closer to the neck than the normal pbass pup). Quite a brain twister but I'll get a photoshop as soon as I can to display my ideas.
Wiring: 2 pots vol and tone, orange drop cap, and a 3 way selector (ala Tony Franklin)
Color: It will be purple sparkle (pics of the color coming with the photoshop)
Neck: Mighty Mite fretless ebony neck.

What do you think?

Here is the jazz. Not me, it was at the Houston bass gtg. I played it and knew I needed a bass kinda like it. IIRC its a 79 refined and has a warmoth neck. Excuse John Edwards in the background

Photoshop to come.

I'd advise against the tremolo as it is irreversible...unless you are 100% certain you HAVE to have it.

I understand. It was a beater squier, and you can put it into hardtail mode if I don't want the tremolo. I've searched and done some reading and am convinced.

It is not mine. I do not own a jazz bass.
