Hi everyone,

I just joined the Forum this morning, because I'm desperate for some help from those people 'in-the-know'...!! :)

I've just bought my first Fender Bass: a MIA Standard 'P' (Black & M/N)
and I'm due to take delivery next week.

I've ordered a black scratch plate from Fender no problem, but I have tried everything I possibly can to get a pair of black control knobs, but without success.

I've had emails to/from Customer Services; emails to just about every guitar store in the US and the UK, and no one seems able to help me. I've spent hours online surfing, again with no success.

Can anyone help me please? With it being a brand new bass, I really would prefer genuine Fender parts if at all possible.

Many thanks.

Hi Bass-Flyer and thanks for that.

Incudentally, are you really a country music bass player?

Country, bluegrass, classic rock, ... and some blues.
