I purchased this bass from the old Fender discussion forum in 2000, and put it away. Both the bass, and the hard case are in mint condition. Rosewood neck with painted headstock. Light green custom color for this limited edition. I have a certificate of authenticity from Fender. This was the last of twelve basses to be made in the limited edition. (#12 of 12). I checked Ebay, could not find anything comparable. Please help

Congratulations. This is an EXTREMELY rare instrument. I would expect it to bring a very good final value relative to what you paid. You won't find one of these on eBay since there are only 12 in the world. I would get it appraised by a reputable appraisal service like George Gruhn. It should bring 70 to 80% of appraisal value when you sell it. This is a very are and seldom seen instrument and you are very fortunate to have it. I do know that right now is not the very best time to be looking to unload a rare instrument and the longer you keep it the more it is worth. I have a one of 150 FSR Stratocaster in Fiesta Red with matching headstock. I love looking at it. I think in a few more years it will be worth several times what I paid. BUT if you look at the Mayan calendar....it ends in 2012. So, sell in late 2011. And enjoy the proceeds QUICKLY...before the world as we know it ends.
