Somethings about this bass don't seem correct to me. What do you guys think?

That's the yellowist white I've ever seen! The case looks way too new and the wrong style. It seems like this guy is trying too hard to justify the price. I love my Precision Elite II. I could probably get 3 for the price that he's asking. That's way too much money.

seems awfully optimistic pricewise... $1650-1800 in this economy is realistic. at least he posted pretty pictures

fyi, I just sold a 77 P with the hangtags as well for 1950, and I thought i got away with a nice price... this guys smoking something and not sharing!!! GET HIM BOYS!!!

Wouldn't catch ME playin' a bass that color!
Well ... maybe ....

As an owner of a '75 Oly White ...... I can't see anything wrong with it.
Doesn't mean there isn't however.

Beautiful bass

Looks much like Vintage White than Olympic White.

The Olympic White finish is brighter than Vintage White and a tad darker than Arctic White.

Vintage White is a long-time favorite colour of famed metal gurus YJM and DM.

Vintage White

Correct me ifn' I'm wrong ..... but Vintage White was made/offered to look like old Olympic White.
Vintage White is "somewhat" a newer color.

My '75 P was a lighter/brighter yellow when new ..... it mellowed over the years.

The one thing that stands out to me about this bass is the price. There is some uncertainty about the color, but the pictures of the pickguard removed show it to be a vintage shade of white that has yellowed substantially. I like that, but I'm not sure what specific white shade it is. But that's not such a big deal compared to:

Look at the picures of the neck pocket. You could park a Buick in the space between the neck and the body on the E side. Typical late 70's construction. This is exactly the sort of QC problems made Fender shut down US production in the early 80s while the Japanese were kicking their $@!.

All in all, it's likely a nice bass for one-third of what the asking price is. My opinion, of course.

As a owner of a Oly White bass, as I posted above, I see NO uncertainly about the color.
My humble opinion of course. :)

"Vintage White" shows on a mid-'90s Fender color chart, and I'm sure it was to mimic faded Oly White.
Not sure when Vintage White came out.

Agree the price is a tad high. Otherwise VGC and appears original. I'd say it is at least 100% overpriced.
