Here's my '59 Wannabe. It's a '01 MIM Standard P.

I do like active basses, but I'm sticking with what I ordered. Its all paid for, and I'm really wanting this type of bass for my collection. At this point in time I'm using a CS 64 J-bass limited edition in black, a Ric 4003 in black, and this bass when it arrives. I have to stop buying basses for a little while..lol

It's a good player, everything is stock except the eye-candy -
guard, tugbar, covers, knobs.

The neck is thin, action low. BUT, my MIM Classic '50s P's have taken over as my main players.

You can't have too many basses in my opinion! I have bought three this year a CS 64 LTD J-bass in black, a new Ric 4003JG , and the CS 59 P-bass. I will soon be seeking a support group to help me before I am financially ruined....lol

Oh I agree! I'm actually letting this one go.
That will still leave me with six!

It's nice to know I am not alone. However, I don't think you would be very helpful with the support group..LOL

Looks like an original late '59 P.

If you put in a maple neck, it will resemble like an early '59 or a late '58. :P :!:
