Post subject: Zoom Bass Effects Pedal?
Posted: Wed Apr 21, 2010 6:11 pm
Hi guys; Has anyone used or know anything about the Zoom B2.1U Bass Effect Pedal (with USB Recording Interface)? If you do please let me know. I'm using an Am. Std. Precision, through a Marshall MB450H head, with a MBC410 cab. Thanks.

Hey man, zoom makes some good pedals. I have used the B1.X pedal for years, and it has never let me down. Some of the drive settings sound poor, but everything else is wicked. The built-in effects "patches" are especially great.

Hey man, no problem! I have an audio sample if you want... Listen to "Duck Walk" from the following link. I used the B1.X for both the drum machine and wah effect. I use an Am. Std Precision as well :D

yep, i have the b2.1u, got one as a present 3 years ago. brilliant good all round pedal, compression, chorus, flange, plenty of effects which you dont really need to use, but good for different sounds, and plenty of tones which you can tweak to make your own sound. definitely worth getting!

Thanks for posting the link to the audio file.

It is frankly surprising how infrequently that happens here.

Nice work. I appreciate the opportunity to hear other players of all genres.

I find the work on this track very slick and complimentary to the lead, yet at times taking the lead. Nice work indeed. KUDOS.

The role of bassist should change off from spotlight to rhythm. It gets old otherwise. Listen to old Jazz recordings and you'll find the same thing was going on. Backline, upfront, backline, upfront, backline again. Some things never change. I really enjoyed what started happening about 4:50 into it. NICE WORK!
