So i have a fender mexican P-bass circa 1992ish that i've been wanting to fix up, including putting a 62' RI neck on as well as upgrading pots and pickups. Would the 62' RI neck fit on it?

I have put a few necks on diff. bodies in my day and on new necks its sometimes a tight squuze into the neck-pocket so a minut amount with gentle sandpaper will get that just a tad to big neck to fit,new ones need to be marked as to get the screws positioned properly seeing how they usually come without neck pocket holes.
On an original Fender neck the neck pocket may too snug or even to loose id possible,Fenders dont always match the neck line exact on all there different models(mex, japan, korean etc),I had once bought a japanese Memphis neck that bolted up to my 84 squier and my 2004 american standard better than the ones that came with it,a decent lutheir should be able to help you out and seeing since new necks dont usually have a nut or the tuner holes drilled in the headstock I learned all this the hard way,but not to tuff to make you not want to attempt it.
