I think I have an interesting observation about young and old guitar and bass players. It seems to me that younger musicians really respect and look up to the older players. They follow them around like they have candy, soaking up everything they can. I did too when I was young. What makes that interesting? I'm glad you asked. It just appears to me that in a lot of professions the younger guys hang to themselves and all but ignore older dudes. You ever seen like a young police officer hanging out with a retired one? To all the young musicians, thanks!

i get what you mean. i really respect the older bassists, like John Entwistle, Steve Harris (UP THE IRONS!!) and Duff Mckagan. i mean, they're skilled bassists, and i feel its only appropriate we try to learn the good stuff from them, yeah?

and this is coming from a 18 year old bass player who barely plays well. haha.
