Looking for suggestions for a tuner. The two I have just aren't that great, a Korg and a Digitech. The new Polytune looks like the front runner right now, I'm looking to spend about $100.

I've had good luck with Boss tuners:

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to visit my friendly neighborhood Guitar Center and try some out.

Boss tuners are great. Pretty easy to find on CL for around 60 bucks or so. If you've got a rack, the Korg DTR tuners are good too. I've had the same one for 7 years and it's been all over the country with me. They're pretty solid.

I had a Boss that I gave to a friend who's self admittedly "totally mechanically inept" and he loves it.

I'm using a Fender PT-100 but I don't know what it cost because it came free with a guitar I bought once. The PT-100 is no frills though: you can't use it at all to tune an acoustic, it only works for A = 440 and has no built in non- standard tunings.

If I were using lots of modern tunings, etc., I'd go out and get another Boss too.

For a rack tuner, you just can't beat the Korg DTR 1000. If you're looking for a cheap non-rack tuner, I've had pretty good luck with the Sabine STX 1100. For the price, it's not bad. I've never used a pedal tuner so I can't give an opinion on any.

FWIW I have never had a problem with my Korg PitchBlack pedal tuner.
Would recommend if you have a pedalboard.

I've used Seiko Tuners, no problems with them.
