I need to know if other Fendewr owners have had a similiar problem with the bass sticking to the red velet linning of the original molded plastic case? The guitar was built around 1986. It is a Fender Precision Special in Lake Placid Blue. When I went to remove the guitar from the case and play it I found it stuck to the red velet linning. I had not played the guitar in a few years but find this higly unusual. The finish on the back in spots is ruined. I have a 1977 JAZZ in a black Tolex case and a GL in another black Tolex case and have no problems.

The guitar case was standing up in the bedroom against my dresser. It was not located near a heat source or exposed to direct sun light.
