What model p bass is it? MIA, Mex. etc...?

Most of the Fender basses have a finishes on the necks (satin, coated, etc...). So, you would only use a preferred guitar polish on the neck.

i don't think the maple necks need maintenance.. or maybe just proper wiping?

only the rosewood requires lemon oil or usual conditioners

If you mean maple fretboard, then no oils at all as the fretboard has a clear finish on it. You just need to clean it off once in a while.

Get some Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes, they're great for rosewood fretboards.
