Offer headstocks painted same color as body on P and J basses. Like the 1980 Precision Special.

Do you want to see an American Deluxe Precision or a Custom Classic Active Jazz with those weird international colours, i.e. Sahara Taupe, Monaco Yellow, Capri Orange?

Greg Fessler had built a Custom Classic Stratocaster with the weird Blue Stratoburst finish.

Stratobursts were very common with many of the guitars and basses made before CBS sold Fender to the late Bill Schultz in 1985.

Complete with maple neck, Badass II bridge, Seymour Duncan SBP-3 split humbucking pickup and a set of Rotosound SH77 flats! Like Steve Harris' original checkered flag 1959 P-Bass!

I never saw you as a huge Iron Maiden fan, Alex.

I would be happy just to have some of the old 60's custom colors available without having to purchase a custom shop bass.

Matching headstocks as a purchasable option on all new basses.

More transparent colors for all models :Butterscotch, Mary Kaye White, Teal, Red, Black, Orange, etc.

Gotta love anything in sparkle, especially silver. With a matching headstock and ebony fingerboard.

Sienna sunburst on an American Standard P or J would be nice

I know that Fender currently offers the Sienna sunburst finish on the American Standard guitars, but a Precision or a Jazz bass finished in that colour is surely an idea which could be taken with a serious consideration.

The Sienna burst finish suits very well a rosewood-neck Jazz and a maple-neck Precision.

Here's a photo of an early 1980s Jazz Bass in the gorgeous Sienna sunburst finish:

Does anyone know if powdercoat finish will adhere to wood? Powdercoat blue with chrome guard and hardware. :D

Sienna was available n Jazz basses in the late 1970's. Im the early 1980's I had a very nice 1978 Jazz with Sienna sunburst and white block inlays. It was a gorgeous bass and sounded great. Unfortunately, the drummer I was playing with stole it from me and traded toward some other gear.

+1. My 71 C.A.R. Jazz had a painted to match headstock. So does my son's Fiesta Red FSR 2006 Stratocaster. VERY CLASSY. In fact on the '71 Jazz it was about the only thing I really liked.

The 50th Anniversary J-Bass is a bit closer to your '71. Only the fingerboard binding is missing, the graphite truss-rod and HMV bridge add a modern touch. Not sure if your bass has a maple fingerboard with black binding and blocks.
