I don't think any current model Fender bass has a problem with neck bowing. You can buy with confidence.

Any bass neck will fluctuate with changes in a climate, such as seasonal changes. Most issues can easily be adjusted with a minor trust rod adjustment. I have visited music stores that have instruments in need of neck adjustments. This could be a cause from the cold during shipping or the lack of humidity in the store’s environment. Either way, the instrument should be easily adjusted back to factory specifications.

If a Fender instrument gives you a problem after you purchase it, refer to their warranty information.
