Hi all,

I'm interested in your opinions concerning: If both 50s Precision Bass and Highway One were priced the same, which one would you take? I'm new to Precision Basses - and basses for general -, but would like to buy on of the above-mentioned models. Please try to explain a bit, why you preferred the model you chose.

Cheers!

well you'll get a lot of different opinions... hmmm for the posiflex I'd vote the highway one.. plus the BA bridge and the 9.5 radius neck...
but i don't like the body finish...

I like the finish of that 50s model too, but wouldn't like to make a compromise when it comes to the sound just because it looks cool.

Though I just read that 50s Precision Bass has the same pickups as American Standards, so maybe it's not a compromise.

Decided a couple of years ago that I wanted a new Fender. I've been around long enough to know that the only way to pick one was to play every one I could get my hands on 'til I found the one that was right for me. That included several samples of each model. There were a couple along the way that I really liked, but I knew I'd found the right one almost as soon as I picked it up. Just found it right before Christmas. A 50's P bass.
