I have a HW1 and I use La Bella Deep Talking flats. My E and A strings always need to be tuned when I go to play the D and G are good.I took the tuners off and 2 of the E string inside gears are striped. So I just want to know if any one uses Hipshots and how are they.

Hey Duck,
I've been using a MOON Hipshot on my 1977 P-Bass for 20 years. I love that thing. I want to find one for my Geedy Lee Jazz. It's installed on the E string. Flip it and I got a D. Flip it back I'm back up to the E.
Sometimes in comes back up alittle sharp but I just pull the string some while I'm playing and it's right back in tune again.
I'm using a custom set of SIT Stay In Tune strings. The E is a 105.
Hope That help's Bro.
Lenny
