I hear ya. I'm looking for one too.

I want a Steve Harris P-Bass. Anyone have one that they want to get rid of hit me up.

lancegams@hotmail.com

Fender could make a bunch of money if they were able to reissue this bass. This is the 4th person this week that has been looking across the globe for one. I hate to say it, but there was never enough to go around.

since they are discontinued and if Fender did ever bring it back it would probably be as a Custom Shop $2500-3000 version. The original ones if I remember correctly were made by Fender Japan.

I've seen them on Ebay used going for $900-1200 so they are not cheap. Same cost as a US made P bass.

Good luck in your search.

I wish I did get 'em when they were still out there. Now with it being collecter's and Ebay specials, they're actually about $200 than when it was new, so, yeah, good luck with your search. Hang on and you should be able to find someone willing to part with it with a good price.

Hey thanks!

IIRC it was like $599 or something. Oh my I can't remember when I bought it, it was a couple years ago ('01-'02 maybe???). I'm pretty sure I bought it from Musician's Friend and I almost bought a Dave Murray Strat to go with it. I didn't have enough dough and I'm more of a bass player anyway so the Steve Harris P-Bass it was. Been a long time Maiden fan, and especially of Mr. Harris!

True to Maiden fans and off course to 'Arrie himself. Too bad it was only available for 6 months or so. That is a great price for it, I'm seeing 'em now on ebay for $800 some higher. Great buy. I'm still looking around for them.

No offence to the worshippers of this bass but I actually think this is a much better idea. The Harris signature is made from basswood, his real bass is alder, as is a standard MIM precision, I think it's better just buying an MIM and modding it.

the bass looks awesome with the maple fretboard! i love that blue color! if you want something similar then paint you bass blue and add the badass2 +a black pickguard. that's what i would do (or buy one off ebay)
