Hey man, I figered I'd figure out if you were a TB'er. If your not (talkbass.com) you should join. There are many fender people out there who ask legit questions. Some people know a lot like you but I know enough to get by. Someone commented on how much I knew about fenders and I just know what you've told me. So...

Thx man!

Hi Tommy, Yes I was a TalkBass member before finding the Fender forum. I like the Fender Forum better and decided to devote my limited time here since I know more about Fender basses than the other brands.

I didn't even own another brand bass until about 5 years ago. I've forgotten so much over the years and sometimes I get confused as my memory is fogged and fading after nearly 42 years of fooling with Fenders. I'm not perfect and people here tend to be more patient with old men with cognitive issues. (For example: I've confused Squier's with Broncos. Just old age.)

It makes more sense to me that I stick to posting here. I got help from some TB people in the past on things like figuring out the stacked controls on the 1995 active Fender Cowpoke P-Bass Special I bought with no manual and where to find some parts I needed at times.

While I realize that the TB forum is way more active, I'd rather stick to what I know for sure and mostly what I know is Fender passive basses. There are plenty of real bonafide crazies on the TB forum, so I just hang here where I'm probably the only bonafide crazy person. If anyone doubts that I'm crazy then you don't know me very well at all. Thanks for the suggestion though and Happy Easter to you and yours!

Talkbass can be hard to stay on top of. Once you post something it gets buried below a ton of other posts and before you know it it's on page 5. Not to mention the, ahem, expected courtesies are very different there.

I'd agree with anubis... people at TB are very different from here... i asked some questions about strings then some people came up with rude answers though there are nice ones too..

Happy Easter? That was just mean Bro, here Tommy is wearing his rabbit suit that Aunt Clara sent him and he's groggy from waking up way too early to see what Santa brought. Now he'll be looking for Easter eggs and be disappointed when he doesn't get an Easter basket.

There is more topics covered over there and a faster response but when it comes to a fender question... I always come here

And yes many of them are very rude, I've gotten many infractions from defending myself and others from these rude people (of course with my quick temper some rude things are replied)
