How do you like your new bass? I've been thinking about getting one but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. Do you like the Jazz neck?

I wouldn't bother putting a Badass on it. The tone of the stock bridge is excellent, and if you need more sustain than I get from the stock bridge on my American Deluxe Precision, then you're playing some kind of Martian music (open strings ring for over 30 seconds... I can't think of a single tune that would need you to do that).

Best thing you can do is replace the P-style pickup with a Fender Original '62 P-Bass pickup. It gives a more vintage P-tone used alone, and blends great with the Jazz bucker.

Swell, I don't think this bass has a Jazz neck.

Anyone ever replace the double bucker with a Norstrand or other Musicman style PUs. :?:
