Happy Thanksgiving to all, I was just looking at the basslineSTC-2C-BO tone circuit with concentric bass and treble knobs, and I was wondering if anyone had put one on . I have a MIM pbass ,and wanted to know 1st would it be worth it to put on,and would it totally ruin the pbass sound or give it more control. I don't know to much but I want to learn. :?

Happy Thanksgiving to you too and welcome!

You'd do better to get a premium, graphic EQ pedal instead of the Duncan which you are considering. With the graphic (sliders), you'll have better, more selective control over the specific frequencies you do and don't want and how much therein and, you can use it for ALL your basses. See, with any on board dial types, the combination of frequencies are pre-selected as you turn the knobs and they may or may not be to your liking. Surely, the range will be infinitely more dramatic with a graphic EQ pedal.

Is this an active or a passive system? If it's active, it will alter the tone to some degree, I'm not sure how much though. It could be barely noticeable or it could be extremely noticeable.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Save your money for a better or different bass with a more advanced tone circuit like the P-Bass Deluxe or the American Deluxe P-Bass.
