I do sorta. I have an Orange Crush 35B that I use when I don't want to upset the household. I would love to have an Orange AD200BH but unfortunately that amp is just to expensive for me. I am looking forward to the release of the Orange Terror bass which is a 500 watt tube hybrid with a class D solid state power amp goes for around $800. I just love how these amps sound. I know this is a Fender forum but thought I would put this out there and see what others think.

I know Dan Adriano runs a P bass through an Orange, I'm not sure what model, and it comes out of an Ampeg 810. It sounded great when I saw them in Austin. Nice dry, rumbly bass tone.

The last couple of years I have noticed a lot more bassists running Precisions through Oranges and what a sound. Orange has an 8x10 cab out as well and I can't wait to hear/try one out.

Yeah, I didn't even know they made bass stuff until the Alkaline Trio show.

The bass players from the bands Converge and Orange Goblin use the Orange AD200BH.

As I am based in the UK, I might pay for for a Fender, but we pay less for Orange amps :P

So....when i had the choice between an Ampeg SVT CL or VR....guess what....I tried them against a brand new stock Orange AD200b Mk3, and the the Orange won hands down!

Pure tube bliss....simple, yet sounds good no matter what.

Only 5 controls...but the gain control is very cool. Crank it to half and you get some nice breakup, crank it to 3/4 and you have the most awesome tube dirt ive ever heard....crank the gain all the way, and its full blown tube grind.

Rest is bass, middle, treble, and master volume.

So, with it having a great gain control, you can have all out grind at low volume levels.

I found I had to fiddle with the Ampeg to make it sound as good.

I bought the Orange amp, and the Orange OBC 4x10. A few months later I bought the OBC1x15.

Incredible amps...and with a Precision, it is perfect. Good for fat warm blues, all the way to dirty heavy hardcore.

I am going to try my 2nd 2009 USA P Bass with TI Flats through it this weekend.

Also sounds amazing with a Jazz.

My advice, they are amazing, and they look really cool!

That is awesome. Yeah, I've never liked having to "fiddle" with the Ampeg amps. It tends to turn me away from those amps. I mean, I like P basses for their simplicity and reliabilty, I should expect the same from an amp. If I had the cash, I would totally throw down for an Orange. After hearing Alkaline Trio in Austin using one, I was completely blown away.

That is so cool. I wish Oranges where a little less pricey over here but like you said pure tone heaven.

I always like the sound and simplicity of Orange amps. I've not heard it w/any other cabs other than Orange cabs tho. I'm partial to keep the amp/cab the same brand, some do sound good mix/match, but for the most part, keep the head/cab the same model/brand the way the engineers designed them for ;)
