My wife bought me one when they first came out so I would have something to play later in the evening and not upset everyone living around us. To be honest other then the Crush looking cool I really didn't expect much in the way of sound but I was pleasantly surprised once I plug in. I was playing a pair of Ernieball basses and my only complaint was they sounded boomy through the Crush. Since I just got the amp for practice I really didn't care. Life happens and I had to sell off the Ernieball basses and then as stated earlier lucked out and aquired the Fender and paired up with the Crush it really sounds good.

I am quite fond of my GK head coupled with my SWR cab. The sound is amazing and will make your BONES vibrate!

After gigging with a MIA Ampeg B100R, I got tired of lugging around all that weight. I tried a Hartke rig, but then bought a Mesa/Boogie Walkabout Scout 1x15 when I sold my Les Paul. To my ear, that's the perfect amp for the my AV '57 P: warm and present. No need to blow everyone's ears out -- it sounds terrific at 11:00 on the volume, even outdoors. Sure, it's pricey, but you get everything you pay for. Its only drawback is that it weighs about the same as the Ampeg I got rid of.
