As was posted earlier. Sid was a murder as well as drug addict. He contributed nothing to the bass playing community other then have a Fender P-bass (note I didn't say play) Punk Rock appeals to lets face a minority of players out there. Fender offers a decent selection of artist models of all the various styles of music. If someone wants a Sid Vicious bass get the Squire VM P-bass. If you want a Punk Rock bassist model who can actually play bass get try the Mike Dirnt model. Cool bass and cool bass player.

So I'm the only sex pistol/sid fan out there? I like his bass but a sig would be too redundent. John entwistle is coming out with a CS sig! And As a owner of the dirnt bass, it's sweet!

I know it's a bit "un-punk" of me, but I always thought the Sex Pistols were lame.

Still waiting for the Dan Adriano P bass. Since he switched over from the Jazzes after this past record.

I'm no huge SP fan, and yeah Sid couldnt really play, but I like his P Bass.

I do love the Clash and classic punk, but i much more into modern punk like NOFX, No Use For A Name, etc.

I just bought a second hand, 1 and half month old 2009 American Series Precision. Absolutely immaculate...even the case is totally mint and all the case candy is still sealed and the Fender tag is still in the case. It plays lovely. The owner has put some TI flats on it and they are so easy to play.

This is my second new series P Bass, and its going to be my main gigging bass as it was obviously less expensive as second hand.

Guess what? Its Oly White, rosewood neck, this time with an official Fender black guard as the friend I bought it off loves the Ramones/SexPistols. It looks amazing, and is very light weight. It does obviously come with the still sealed Tort guard which also looks reall cool.

I sold my main gigging bass MIJ 1996 Fender Precision for this and boy is it brilliant.

Nice. You've got the punk rock bassist go-to right there.

BTW, how awesome are Fat Mike's Bass parts? Even though he plays that jinky Danelectro bass.
