well, it was a bit mod'd, but I got what I wanted from it and the guy who bought it got a reeeally good deal as well.

nice choice! I have a "tim" worn "Fullerton series R/I" P-bass made in 1982, Fiesta Red, that just plays like buttah! I have played the RW series J bass (my local store doesn't have any P's) and it looks good and plays very nicely as well.

It took me 27 years to get my bass to look like what takes a guy (or gal?) an hour or so with a sander to do but they are great sounding and feeling basses.

Have fun with your new bass. It's a blast to explore new possibilities with a new instrument....

yep. I definitely find the wear on it does help (at least to my ears) with how these basses speak. the thin nitro finish gives it mojo for sure.

I had the chance to sit and play a couple American Standard Ps, a P Deluxe, a 50s reissue P and then the Road Worn and I'll tell ya, the Road Worn series has much more to it than just some cool scuff marks :lol:
