ck out you local craigslist...for $200 new, I don't think you'll be seeing too many good quality stuff, especially if you want a stack.

You might can find a decent used combo for $200, but not a stack. $200 down maybe for a decent used stack. Stick to the mainline brands. If you are going to play with a drummer you should look for something that is 100 watts or more. A lot of what amp to get depends on what kind of music you want to play. Not knowing that makes it difficult to name specific amps. The different brands all have different tonal coloration characteristics.
