Hi guys what do you think is the best DI box there is?
I'm looking for ones that are good for recording and use for powering an amplifier...

I came upon 3 di boxes which caught my attention..

MXR DI +
Sans Amp Bass Driver DI
Seymour Duncan Paranormal

which do you think is best?

The best are the Radial boxes using Jensen transformers. First drawer studio tools. Last one you'll ever buy.

I agree with SlapChop on the Radial stuff. Be sure to check out the Tonebone Bassbone.

I have and love my MXR Bass DI+.

Here is some reading to go cross-eyed over.

Which Radial DI.

Are you talking about the TONEBONE BASSBONE or the passive DI's. Radial probably makes at least 10 DI boxes you could use with a bass. Which one?

If you just say RADIAL he might get one of the passive DI's and get a really flat dull sound.

So which Radial DI are you recommending for use in plugging into a mixer for recording and for stage use into a flat power amp?

I like the Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe. I think I'm gonna buy one. Up to 6 presets and an A/B switch built in so I can ditch the Whirlwind Selector Pedal to make room on my pedalboard. Looks like a good stage setup to feed a flat power amp and a mixer.

I use the SansAmp Bassdriver DI. What I like about it is, I always get the same sound no matter what, amp, direct to the board or just through headphones. My next one will be the RBI.

Yeah the rack mounted RBI is sweet if you have a rack space left. I'd have to ditch something and really can't. I also like the A/B switching on the Deluxe pedal.

I use the pedal board into a mixer for home practice into headphones. My rack usually is only used at the infrequent gigs I do around here.

Recently my Whirlwind Selector pedal acted up with really low output from the B input. Like 20 db down from normal. I mailed it to Whirlwind and the exact same pedal was back in about a week working 100%. Great service! Wonder if anyone has any experience with Tech 21's service? Is it that good?

for sans amp users, do they really have only 2 bands of EQ? I mean there's no midrange control?? does that really affect much?
