Hi guys does anybody know about this stuff?
TK-0799-001
(4) Nickel peghead bushings for vintage style bass tuners. Outside diameter is 11/16"(17.5mm) and inside diameter is 17/32"(14mm).

005-1532-000
(1) Genuine Fender chrome bass tuner bushing for Highway 1 and Mexican Standard Basses. Outside diameter is 18mm and inside diameter is 14mm.

There's a 0.5 difference in the vintage and modern stuff.. What is its effect? Does Squier bushing also have 14mm inside diameter?

It means that if, for instance, you wanted to fit Schaller BMFL tuners or vintage reverse or similar, to a MIM, and you want to use the vintage style bushings, they'll be too small for the holes. I've fitted a set to my MIM P by cutting some strips of plastic from a shampoo bottle and using them to line the hole and then carefully press the vintage bushings in.
I'd imagine that the Squiers are similarly oversized, but have never actually looked at mine.

Schaller BMFL's bushings are 17.5mm right? so adding some plastic would help tighten the bushing onto ones with 18mm pegholes??

I was just wondering about the size of Squier Affinity pegholes coz I might be replacing them with Hipshot ultralites 1/2, but what does "Standard Open Gear" mean?

"Standard Open Gear" means you can actually see the gears. The other type is the sealed variety where the gears are protected by being totally encased.

but "Standard" does that mean 11/16?

Recently Standard Basses have 18mm pegholes, whilst others have 17.5mm, supposedly we have an 18mm Machine Head and the pegs on my bass is 17mm or 17.5mm any idea advice on how to make it bigger?

Anything currently 'Standard' is most likely 18mm; all else is vintage at 11/16ths.

If I'd have an 11/16 hole how can make it a bit bigger to make those 18mm modern ones fit?? Any tips on how to? especially using home tools..
