Great, now all Pete has to do is learn how to play it.

No tone control? Just volume?

Unfortunately yes. The logic behind only having a volume control is that tone controls technically bleed off a little treble even when the tone control is fully on, and with no tone control you get the natural amount of trebble from the pickups (like it's gonna make a difference to Pete Wentz....)

The fact is that you can get the best of both worlds. Fender makes special pots called 'no-load' pots. Basically when the tone control is all the way on, it bypasses the entire circuit and no treble is lost from the tone control.
