Hi, 1st post here, nice to meet you all!
I've taken a look under the Accessories section and done a search but cannot seem to find out if Fender makes replacement pickguards for the American Standard P-bass 5-string. I have one in candy cola and just cannot get on with the white pickguard. Ideally I'd like a red tortoiseshell effect or, failing that, black. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Mat

Hi, and welcome!
As there is such a guard on the sunburst, it is a matter of asking your local Fender store to order the part number. There's no reason this wouldn't be possible, although generally, it's not a speedy process. The alternative is to send a very accurate tracing to someone like Pickguardian. Either way may well be fairly pricey...

Welcome to the forum Mat. And congrats on the catchy forum ID too! Really exotic. The sources mentioned by Zod and Telebass are good. Other possible sources include JEANNIE PICKGUARDS, TERRAPIN GUITARS, ED ROMAN, CATALINA GUITARS and PICKGUARD HEAVEN who all do custom work. Jeannie has a very good brown tortoise. Links to all these suppliers are on the REPLACEMENT/UPGRADE BASS PARTS page of the website in my signature. Again, welcome and if you can't get the original Fender I'm sure you can get one from one of the aftermarket sources. I'd keep the original though!

I actually think the white pickguard looks cool on the candy cola. White pearloid would be nice too.
