The set screws aren't original obviously. Do these knobs appear to be 1970's vintage from what you know about Fender knobs?

They appear to be accurate but it is almost impossible to tell without seeing them in person. A 70's Precision knob should have a slot head set screw, which yours have. I guess you are calling the set screws unoriginal b/c they are black.
I don't know that the current Precision knob without the S-1 switching of course , is that different than a 70's knob.

I see from your other posts that you bought a parts bass and you want to know what parts are original.
The best way is to take it to a knowledgable collector and compare your bass to a known, original 1970s Fender bass that is close to the same year as yours.

The knobs were in a box of parts that were thought to be 1970's parts. From looking at basses I've seen knobs on basses from the same year of production that were different. Some had knurling all the way down the knob, others had the lathe turning at the bottom of the knob.

Having run a lathe I am sure each operator that made the knobs made them slightly different than the operators, therefore a variation is expected.
