Apparently discontinued in the USA. No longer listed in the lineup. The Aerodyne Jazz is still there. It may still be in production for the Japanese market though. The Aerodyne P was a really nice looking instrument. Never played one though. The Japanese necks are as a rule really good.

Thanks Zod, sort of figured they might still be in production, just so nice that they had to be kept from the roundeyes. They kept the best colors in Japan even when you could get one in the USA. They look good for sure.

Those are some cool colors, there's an Ocean Turquoise in there.

The line of AJB Jazz Aerodynes has some hawt colors.
Gun Metal Blue with a maple fretboard. Hell, I would take the rosewood one too.

This walnut is sick too.

I love the 70's Fender logo. Would love to have this bass. Just like the Squier VM P-bass.

Rumor has it that an over zealous employee tried to make a name for himself and do the "Road Worn" treatment to some ofd the Aerodynes in his factory. He took 300 of them in an open truck and had an associate throw them out the back while driving on a highway.

Too bad he didn't allow for traffic as most of them were run over by other vehicles.

Thus, the delay in meeting orders for stock.

I think you omitted the word "FORMER" between the "overzealous" and "employee." LOL

Uh, actually, he was way ahead of his time. He got transferred to Mexico and couldn't resist trying it again.

The rest is history.

Personally, I am not a fan of buying a new road worn/reliced/vintage/rustic bass.
I wanna do it.

I think the Road Worn line is ridiculous. These last few posts were purely sarcasm. The idea of a ruined instrument is insane and a $1200.00 MIM is crazier.

Nice to see you back Zod.

Thanks Ox.
I was just saying that "reliced" bass are not my thing. I wish I had more money to blow on basses, but in the end you can only play one at a time. I have actually gotten rid of 3 of my basses in the last few months, including my MIA P-bass. I never played them any more.

Yeah, me too. I bought a Squier, 70's Vintage Jazz . I still have my MIM FSR Precision and a MB5.

I'm really happy with the Jazz, I won't buy anything else until I find a real vintage bass from a closet or from under a bed.

Zod, I agree with you, the walnut and the gun metal blue are awesome colors! I'm saving to get another 2x10 cab by Sept, or my focus will be on the discontinued 24v 5 string...or these ones you're showing
