I'm a big Carl Radle fan. For those that aren't familiar, he was the bass player & one of the original 'Tulsa Sound' guys that played with Clapton from 1969-79.

He was the bassist on Derek & the Dominos' Layla album and the rest through 1979.

He was known to have a 1952 P-Bass with a jazz bass pickup added to it near the bridge.

But, he also had a sunburst (I believe late 60's) Precision Bass with an early 70's Classic Jazz neck in rosewood w/ pearl block inlays. A photo of this bass can be seen in the photo section at www.CarlRadle.com

Anyone guru's out there know any history on this sunburst bass and the year model, etc. I'd welcome any insight to this legendary player's instruments.

From a fellow Tulsan,

Dan Howard
