Too much confusion over what he is associated with. It would be a "hard sell" to convince consumers (and dealers) that the Fender® would (or could) really be considered a John Entwhistle bass.

What's that have to do with Fender?

A Slab Bass would be outrageous, from what I've read they were a completely different animal.
