Hi,

I need to find a schematic for a Fender P-Bass Special (Cal series). I looked on Fenders support site and it doesn't seem to be listed there. I got this bass from the wife of a friend who recently passed away. Someone had been in it mucking about with the electronics and I can tell something ain't right about it. I would like to put it back to stock configuration.

Also, I was trying to identify the color. It is almost a light champagne color with what appears to be microscopic metal flakes in it...maybe Shoreline Gold although I can't see where Fender ever made this bass in that color. I can post pics if it'll help.

Thanks in advance!

Tim

Found the schematic (or I should say "a" schematic for a PJ) on the Seymour Duncan site....should work out OK for me.

Still wondering about the color though.

Post a picture of the bass and I can give you my opinion of what the color is. Are you sure that the finish is original?

yep, sure the color is original. I looked on Fender's color charts and I think it's "shoreline gold".
I tried to take pictures of it but the color just isn't rendering correctly in the light I have here in the shop.
I'll have to wait until I can get a picture outside in good sunlight.
