Youmay try a little bit of toothpick and elmer's glue to hold it in place.
This should be covered by your warranty but I don't think its worth the trip to a shop and be without the bass for such a minor issue.

I don't think your warranty can be voided by such a minor repair because there will not be anyway to tell if you are careful.

FYI:There are no larger ferrels available for you bass AFAIK.

Remove the ferrule and carefully apply a few layers of masking tape wrapped around the base of the ferrule. Slide it back in. Keep adding tape until it doesn't fall out. That would work too. I don't think that tape would void your warranty. There is also no chance of it in anyway impeding or touching anything it shouldn't.
