Can i add a jazz bass bridge pick up to a standard pbass? I love the growl from the bridge pick up so i wonder if i can add another pick up? Tnx!

You can, but the P-Bass's body would have to be routed for and drilled into to mount the J-Bass pickup as it would not clear the strings if it just sat ON the body. Next, the body would have to be drilled through to bring the J Bass pickup's leads into the wiring area. Further, based on your wiring requirements, additional components may be needed which may require altering the pickguard too.

Personally, I think it is worth the effort/expense. YMMV.

Adding a pickup can always sound like a good idea but realize if you have a US made Precision, you are definitely lowering the value when you modify the bass. If you have a Mexi P bass - go for it!

There are plenty of PJ basses on the market, some Fender brand, some copies, so you may be able to check out one before taking that router or chisel to your bass.

If you have never done this kind of work before, I suggest that you get help.
