Anyone else besides me use one of these? I had no idea they had been discontinued until I started looking for a second one for a new project! I love mine. Anyone else? I bought it because it worked good and looked fabulous! Why they were discontinued is probably because of the low profit margin. The brain is the same as the PT-100 pedal tuner. It is the stainless until in the middle of the rack between the Furman Power Conditioner on top and the Ampeg head on the bottom.

I got it instead of Korg because it was way less expensive and I liked it just fine. I've been using the Fender PT100 tuner pedal and when I found out it had the same chip I figured it would work just as good. It does. It is well made and when you get it on pitch the "F" turns a real cool shade of blue!

Sorry, I didn't answer part of the question. The cabs are by Avatar in Dalton Gardens, Idaho. The 15 is an Eminence Neo rated at 350 watts and the 2x10 is Eminence Deltas rated at 700 watts. Both are 8 ohms. I have really and truly enjoyed these cabs. The 1x15 is amazingly light. They discontinued their 15 inch cab offering about two years ago. And no longer offer the Deltas either but only offer the Neo speakers now. I'm about to pull the trigger on two new Dr. Bass cabs and a new Carvin B1500 head that will do 2 Ohms at 1600 watts. All I need is more money. I'll keep the Avatars for outdoor stuff and run four cabs then. I'm going to Dr. Bass because they still make 15 cabs. The new cabs will be another 1x15 and a 3x10. Yeah, a 3x10.

Try the Basson B15B if you're in the market for a 15" cab. I love the 2 I have.

I'm glad you like your Basson cabs but I hope you have help to move them. The Dr. Bass DRB115 weighs 49 pounds compared to a gut busting 84 pounds for the comparable Basson. The Dr. Bass cab is more compact, well ported and has a really good horn with variable control. They also make a 115 only with no horn

While they do sound pretty good, those Basson B15B cabs are also too large to fit in my car. If you have roadies and a big truck they'd be fine. I need gear I can move easily all by myself because when I get home from a gig everyone is often sleeping so I'm on my own to carry everything up the front steps and into the house, Moving the gear I have now is almost more than I can get done alone. The last thing I want is even heavier gear.

Oddly, even with the added size and weight the Basson cabs are deficient when compared to the smaller and lighter Dr. Bass cabs. Basson takes 300 Watts, Dr. Bass 600 watts. Basson uses carpet covering. Dr. Bass cabs are LINE-X coated like the deck of a nuclear sub. The Dr. Bass 115 costs SIXTY DOLLARS more. Money well spent. Even if all you got was the Line-X it would still be a no-brainer.

There are only two downsides to Dr. Bass cabs. They are custom built to order and right now there is a bit of a wait while your cabs are built. Also unless you can pick them up in Myrtle Beach, SC you have to pay shipping which is reasonable. Fortunately I'm just 4 hours away from there and I go there about 6 times a year anyway. Any old excuse to go to the beach is OK with me! LOL

Well......here's where you went wrong.....if I was you I would.....

I haven't seen a Fender tuner around these parts, but it's rare to get out to see other bands. We're all usually playing the same nights. If it's cheaper and works just as good.....hell yeah, go for it.
I've used my Korg DT Pro tuner for about 20 years and it still works great. So I guess even with the higher price it's paid for itself. I do think the the Fender looks better though. Would love to see that light turn blue. Post a video.....

I like the idea of Line-X covering. I'm currently hauling around the Hartke XLR 4.5 cabinet that I bought from our drummer. They're in a real nice padded road case that he sold along with the cabinet. $500 for all. Couldn't pass it up and I think I like the sound better than my Hartke HyDrive 4x10 cabinet. The road case provides great protection, but it's heavy as he!!. It is on large caster's but you still have to lift it sometimes.

Hey let us know whenever you get the Dr. Bass cabinets and give us a review. You already have a good set up to compare them too. It'll be interesting to read your comments on the differences.....good and bad.

I use my trusty KORG and it works just fine. Don't think I ever saw a Fender rack tuner in person.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
