And i didn't just say that up above to make you feel good although you know it does, but it's something that could bring you a little more success and get your story out there you could always publish it in the U.K. first release it there and then see how it does without spending too much probably (compared to realeasing it in multiple countries such as the U.S. and other parts of Europe) But all you need to find is a good publisher and usually with a good story such as one that you have it'll be cake :)

I do understand your motive, and I thank you.
Yes I would not be human if I didn’t appreciate a compliment.
My dilemma is that I am using English that I learned at school.
I have had no training for writing stories, so I rely solely on feedback to know if I am doing a reasonable job.

I suppose that the number of hits this thread has attracted is an incentive otherwise I would have given up long ago.
My head is buzzing with little interesting episodes to add to the thread.
My life with the Hi Cats was the hi-light of my life, but there were also boring bits.
Of course I would be a poor storyteller if I included those as well.

My daughter, who works for a bank, actually knows an author who has had a book published and wants me to have a go at writing a draft for him to look at.

I will have to start reading other peoples stories in order to get some idea, how it’s done.

Really cool stuff here. Even cooler how people who can back this story up have come to your aid to snuff the fires of the nay-sayers. There are still plenty of doubters I'm sure, but if all this is indeed a lie, then you and all your friends have an incredible amount of spare time to sit around and think up such a crock....which I HIGHLY doubt.

I would be surprised if there were too many doubters.
The pictures of my Vox amps and my Precision bass taken in my attic must have convinced most.
I would have had a problem getting those particular images, if I was a fraud.

Still writing, by the way.
When I get the chance.

I've made several attempts to post another chapter to this thread but it will not accept any more large posts.
I don't know if I am being blocked, or there is some other reason.
I have tried posting in small batches but still no luck.

It just keeps saying "Sorry we've encountered a problem"

I will try and open my own web page and post the story there.
My Email address is in my profile, if anyone has another explanation they can either post it here, or send a message to my Yahoo address

John, try and copy and paste your test to notepad. Apply any carriage returns required.

The selct all and copy to the clipboard and try re-posting.

This will eliminate possible text corruption and insert clean text.

(Start_Run type in notepad.exe then OK).

It may work (then again, it may not :? )

Hi Dave

I've tried your suggestion. It doesn't work.
I'll try to post in small bytes maybe that will work.
If not then I know I'm being blocked so I will have to post to another site.
If I do I'll post the address.

If that is blocked then anyone interested can get it via my Email address.
Unless they remove that too.

That's it

I'm obviously being blocked.
It's their Web Site so I'll just have to respect their wishes.
You would think they would be courteous, and contact me instead of just blocking my posts. My Email address is right there in my profile

If there is some other reason why I can't post then I hope Fender will accept my apologies.

I'll design my own web site and start posting there. That will take a while.
If I can't post the address here then just Google merseykid and ignore the results with the word Fender in the title, or you'll just finish up back here.

I'll keep reading this thread in case anyone posts anything.

Bye for now.

I cut my first gigs in Southport too John, though after mum and dad divorced that's where I spent my youth (13-21).

The 3 bands I played with with were alternative/glam rock kind of bands though we played at some right dives i.e. the Marine club (grab a grannie), the academy and Mad Hatters.

None you would know of but the Kingsway I believe from my dad was were you boys ventured every now and then and that's still there.

Also, during the 80's the Floral Hall where all you 60's bands played was home to the Saturday Rock Night and no live music but just the whole stage filled with speakers and a rock DJ.

Capacity of 1,500 bikers. OK, maybe 5-600 were actual badd $@! bikers but you get the meaning.

Southport is stillthat seaside town but no-one plays there anymore. Sad really.

Hi Bill

No I definitely haven't lost interest.
I have been busy with my business interests, which takes me away from my home computer sometimes for a week or so.
All my information is kept at home either on disc or on my hard drive.

Although there are computers at the place I am working I need to refer occasionally to my files. This job will be finished soon and I will be returning home.

I will soon be coming to the chapter which provoked the heading to my thread.
"My sad story"
But not until I have prepared the ground.

Regards

Johnny T

Was hard, but stayed away from this post for a few weeks just so that I would have a bunch of new poats to read. Enjoy them very much but have been curious about the bass and sad tie to the story. The amp getting stolen was sad but obviously not the end of the story.

After Emailing the Administrator to see if I am doing something wrong.
I have just received this explanation from the Web Manager, which speaks for itself.
I'm sure he won't mind me reproducing his helpful Email.

Don’t worry, there’s nothing personally that you’re doing that is resulting in you to receive that message – we are rolling out some request filtering but are still working on fine tuning it as it is resulting in quite a few “false positives” particularly in our forums area. I’m hoping to have this resolved by close of business Thursday or early Friday.

I will wait until the weekend before replacing those disjointed posts with a single post.
Until then I will keep visiting this thread to see if there are any more messages.
