Hello everyone... just thought i'd introduce myself. Call me "Sketch" if you like! i'm male, in mid 40's, been playing pro for nearly 30 yrs. owned way too many basses, and loved playing most all of them! I now play a 2009 Fender Amer. Std pbass. wow what a nice axe!

Currently gigging with a 70's rock/pop band locally. pretty much retired. spend most days helping part time at a friends music store where i sell and repair guitars. other time spent drawing car cartoons and caricatures. dont laugh, it's better than watching water boil..lol.

looking forward to being a part of the idea exchange in here.

Welcome Sketch!

Your expertise will be a huge help. I've been playing a long time too! Lots of basses traded. Lots of amps blown up!

Yeah those MIA Standards are nice! What color? Post the pick on the thread SHOW YOUR P-BASS or post it here...or heck post it to both! LOL.

And you mean to say....you only have one bass? WOW you are old school! I remember back in the 60's and 70's that nobody had any backups, even the big acts!

Welcome and check in often.

thanks for the hellos!
i have a sunburst pbass..nice finish!
as far as pics, will post soon.

and regarding one axe at a time..tis true i have one usable axe..but i also own a bass i built nearly 17 yrs ago..the neck took a bad bow and the truss rod went nuts..so it's hanging on the wall as a trophy for many yrs of good use!!!
