My GK 1001-RB II with my SWR Workingman's Tower sounds freakishly good - gives me a woody. Played through Ampeg SVT & 8x10 for 9 years. No comparison. The tweeter in my SWR cab allows for a much cleaner and more versatile sound. It's just a little bit smaller(dimension-wise), 50lbs lighter, and has the exact same Eminence speakers. And as I like to say, it will make your BONES vibrate!

While writing or learning new stuff (or recording) I plug straight into a Presonus FireStudio Mobile AI and listen via audioTechnica ATH-M40fs headphones, which do a nice job of not messing with the tone.

For practice and rehearsal, I've been using my Roland Cube 60 (one 12'' spkr) set to "Black Panel". Not only does it have a nice punch but everyone (especially me) is surprised at how much volume that thing will push at only 1/2-to-2/3 Gain/Volume. It's more than adequate for the small rooms we rehearse in.

Gigging I use an old Fender BXR200 (one 15'' spkr), which was purchased for double-duty (alternating as a bass and acoustic guitar amp) back when I got it. It still does a nice job for the small places we typically play.

I have a Roland cube 100 and I must agree they are really sweet little units and you can use them for a fair range of performances.

I'm fortunate enough to have 2 rigs.

The first is my MarkBass cmd 102p 210 combo with a MarkBass 115HR extension cabinet for 500w of rumbling power!! The second is my newly aqcuired Peavey Tour TNT 115 600 watt combo (RMS), which I set over GK NEO 115.

I customized my Markbass rig by painting the grills fluorescent yellow

For band practice and gig's I play my Precision through a Peavey Tour 450 amp paired with a Mesa Powerhouse 6x10 cabinet. That rig totally rocks and sounds amazing! It has never yet let me down or disappointed. For practicing/playing by myself at my apartment I use a Fender Rumble 15 combo amp which sounds as about as good as it is able to for being what it is. Plus my neighbors above and to the sides of me appreciate me not shaking the whole complex with my main rig.

I use a Line 6 Low Down 400 with the all the modelling. the modelling is just great for being able to use a variety of sounds and its big enough to use on stage the local places. With my 2005 MIM Precision i like to use a really high mid dirty sound. kinda like rise against's bass player.

Ashdown Mag Evo 300 head
Markbass Little Tube head
Ashdown 210 cab+Eden 115 cab
Ampeg SVT-410 HE cab
I bought all this as used , except Markbass head.
To me, I get a nice range of possibilities with this but my favorite is Ampeg+little Tube head

I only jam with a few buddies & I have to buy a new amp. I stopped by a club my buddy was playing at they opened & he uses an ampg svt. The next band the bass player had a 200 watt Orange & the tone BLEW AWAY THE AMPEG! Both were plugged strait in no effects & theis orange sounded so much better bother players used a similar p-bass both 60's old beat basses without mods. I'm looking at the Orange CR100BXT.

Ampeg SVT4PRO (mono-bridged) with an Ampeg 610HLF cab. I also keep an Ampeg BA115HP for smaller gigs.

I use a GK-700rbII through a Harke HX115 and XL410 and my P-bass sounds killer. The 250Hz Low mid EQ band really helps dial in the punch in differnt rooms. Also have a 800rb (early model) and it sounds great too through the same bottoms. At home I have a Ampeg CL210 and run a 700rbII through it with great tone too. GKs are great amps for P-basses. I tried Bi-amping and it really didn't do much for me. I play mostly Alt. Pop Rock from 60s, 70s, 80s and like a clean punchy sound. I run mostly a flat EQ with a just a touch of countour added amd use the 5-string (enhanced low frequency) in rooms that need the low end. The 800rb has the boost footswitch control that I like and I wish the 700rbII had. But the 700rbII has the enhanced low end switch that the 800 does not. I also like the headroom the 700rbII has over the 800rb for larger spaces, but not a huge advantage.

I'd love to try a micro, but for now I'm blessed to have these GK heads and they deliver exactly the sound I'm after. Also play a 81 G&L L-1000 and 79 Stingray through this setup and don't have to change a thing except the cord. They all sound great with the flat EQ and I roll back the volume on the G&L and S/R to match the P volume for swapping at gigs without tone compramise.

I play with a Yorkville Bassmaster 800 head and a Basson B15B cab with a Carvin 600 watt 4ohm heavy duty cast frame speaker installed.
The Yorkville is built like a tank, has plenty of tonal controls and lots of power (800 watts at 4 ohms).
The Basson is great but the speaker left something to be desired when i went to the bigger Yorkville. I have always like Carvin speakers and went with the 4ohm to get the most out of the amp.
2 years and over 175 shows later, the combo has never let me down. I just re-tubed it the other day and it's ready for another 175.

That is one nice Bass setup.

I am currently using a Hartke LH1000, which I am very happy with. I have ordered a Big Baby (1x12) cab from Alex Claber at http://www.barefacedbass.com/, I can't wait to test it out with my LH!

My cabs are Avatar, a 1x12 and 2x10.
They are the older cabs with the Delta speakers instead of the newer NEO speakers.
Once in a blue moon I pull out my Peavey 4x10 cab.

Nice set up.
