Bi-amping? You mean like in that "Brokeback Mountain" movie? Well what my amps do in private is their business.

No I don't bi-amp.

Lots of people love GK. The good amps are the really expensive ones like the RB heads and that little MB150 combo. No comment on the rest.

hi, just switched from marshall mb range to ampeg svt450h & svt410hlf hope i made a good change! :D

That cab was my favorite for a long time. The head is adequate for it indoors. The circuit used in the SVT450H is very similar to the one used in the B2RE which costs less, but then you need a rack to mount it in. I use a B2RE and I like it a lot. But when outdoors at a festival gig I count on the PA to boost it because by the time I get it where I can hear it over the drummer and the stage monitors it is maxed out. But it is reasonably light for an Ampeg. It is probably my new Ampeg heads. If I ever need another head and if I can buy an American made head, I will. That rules out Ampeg.
hi brother dave, just to update you have 2 hlf410 cabs now and a svt4pro just had to do it oh yes! :D

I was wondering what settings you are using on the SVT4-PRO while playing your P-Bass. Thanks Kenny

hi kenny,at the moment it`s in mono bridged mode using both 410hlf in my house so cannot go to mad on volume just past 0,gain about half, bass half, midrange half, freq no 3,treble 3/4,e/q to suit small room, all other buttons out, then you can play with tone contols on deluxe bass to add more colour to it,are still trying different settings so i have alot of scope and variety to play with, must be endless, love the amp though, :D

I'm using a Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+, and hoping to get some new Mesa cabs for it soon. I was using an older Diesel 2x15EV 800 watt, but sadly sold it a while ago. Hopefully I'll have the scratch for a Mesa 2x12 and 1x15 soon.

I thought it was just me that felt this way BrotherDave...coming from you means a lot, since you usually aren't bias.

I play a Hartke Transient Attack 5000 w/210 & 115 XL Series Cab, play straight thru....if you do a search, I've posted pix :)
