Aside from price, what are the main differences between the Highway One Precision Bass and the American Standard Precision Bass? (e.g.: materials, electronics/pickups, neck, machine heads, bridge, sound, etc)

Highway 1 and ame.standered are just about the same.Standered has maple neck op. hipshot tunners and a standered bridge.Highway has badass bass bridge and a thiner neck.I played both and the highway 1 was just a better player.

The Highway has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish vs. a poly finish on the American Standard.

What about the Highway One electronics and the pickups? Are they the same as the American Standard?

I've had my Highway for about 6 months and love the greasebucket tone knob. Pickups sound real nice too. Just something about the sound I like better than the standard.
