Well some comrade from Russia dredged this thread up from ancient history, but Wade was right. +1 Wade.

Can we send this back into the black hole now?

In no particular order....

Justin Chancellor-Tool, Peach, Isis

Robert Trujillo(Suicidal Tendancies/Infectious Grooves Era) not a big Metallica fan as of current....

Dave Schulthise-Dead Milkmen

Joe Lally-Fugazi , Ataxia

Flea- Fear, RHCP

Stanley Clarke

William "Bootsy" Collins....well shi*....you guys know who he is...

Les Claypool-Primus and a shi* ton of other projects

Terence "Geezer" Butler -Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell

Chi Ling Dai Cheng-Deftones

And any other bassist who is next to me while we are making a mess of things......

#1 Gene Simmons of KISS, for inspiring me to play bass in the first place. Listen to all Kiss music and not just the bubble gum hits. Gene has his moments of greatness.

#2 John Entwistle of the Who , just listen to that man play bass. There will never be another Entwistle.

#3 Geddy Lee of Rush , Again listen to him play bass, Synth, and sing lead 24/7.

#4 Chris Squire of Yes and he uses a quarter for his bass pic!! Amazing progressive rock bassist .

#5 Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. The guy chalks his finger tips like a Pool Stick in between songs so his fingers dont go on fire!!

#6 Les Claypool of PRIMUS. Serious Crazy music Genious.

#7 Flee of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. No explanation needed.

#8 John Paul Jones of LED ZEPPLIN. Great Bass Player.

#9 Roger Glover of Deep Purple/Rainbow fame.

#10 Geezer Butler Black Sabbath and Heaven and Hell. The Grand Daddy of Metal Bass guitar.

Favorite Guitarists ...too many to mention. But a shoutout to Stevie Ray. I am a bass man at heart.
